Components PC Router (Router Network)

Router is a very important component in the network because the router can divide a network on the same protocol. Router consists of several components, namely:

1. CPU (Central Processing Unit) functions for system initialization, routing functions, controls and executes instructions netwaork interface to the operating system.
2. RAM (Random Access Memory) function for routing table information, fast switching cache, running configuration, and packet queque, but basically the RAM only stores data temporarily so that the power is turned off, the data in RAM is lost.
3. Flash, a part which serves to store the entire IOS (Internetworking Operating System) software image.
4. NVRAM is part of the router that serves to of saving startup configuration.
5. BUS, used for communication between the CPU with the interface. The bus system will transmit data from the interface and sends it to the interface.
6. ROM (read only memory) is a component used for permanently storing startup diagnostic code and its main task is to diagnose hardware for routers do bootupdan move IOS software from flash to RAM.
7. Interface function to konenksi to the network, the interface can be referred to a port to be menguhubungkan router into a network. There are three interface contained on the router are: Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network and management.
8. Power Supply is a component of the duty to provide the power needed to operate the internal components.
