Definition and Function Hub
Hub hardware is very important in computer networks, hubs greatly affect the connections between computers so that when the hub is damaged then the entire network will be disconnected and distracted.
Hub serves as peragkat loud signals from a computer and is the focal point that connects to all computers in the network. Hub also acts as a signal amplifier UTP cables, concentrators and bands. Based on the function Hub divided into 2 types namely:
A passive hub is a hub that serves as pemmisah or divider network, but does not perform signal amplification so that the hub does not require additional power.
Active Hub serves as a liaison to physically track and signal amplifiers in the network, however active hubs require extra electrical power to work.
