 Linux is an operating system that is rarely used in Indonesia, because Indonesia most people prefer to use the Windows operating system. Linux is actually not as difficult as expected since we just need a little bit to learn and get used to using Linux. Linux has strengths and weaknesses compared to the Windows operating system, including:
 
Advantages of Linux:

• Linux is more secure than a computer virus attack
•  Open Source, that you can edit, copy or distribute according to our needs. 
• Free Software, unlike Windows, the operating system is free so we do not need to spend money to buy licensi. 
• Convenience for upgrading 
• Experience live, linux operating system installation CD containing the Linux operating system that can run without having to be installed first, so we can learn or use Linux without having to install it permanently on your computer. we can use to run the live CD.

Disadvantages of Linux:

1. The many users are not accustomed to using linux, so have to learn it first
2.  Support the hardware vendor is not as good on the windows 
3. Support Applications on Linux is not as good on the windows 
4. The installation process is more complicated than the windows
